It could kill a person. We almost all died from it whilst waiting for an appointment with a social worker, to enable Mohamed to get an appointment with the ISS. Red tape… We walked for miles from office to office, with each one referring us back to the one we’d just been to. I guess it’s not meant to be an easy process for a refugee to settle in HK, but I do feel that the system could be made more efficient. It has to be pointed out that each person we spoke to was friendly and understanding towards Mohamed’s case.
