Man in Macau

A man looks on towards the Sai Van bridge which links Macau with Taipa and Cotai as a Chinese flag (C, red) flaps in the wind in Macau on May 12, 2015. The former Portuguese colony saw its second-worst monthly casino revenue decline of 39 percent year-on-year for March, as China encourages its semi-autonomous territory to diversify from gambling and reins in high-rolling visitors from the Chinese mainland. The fall has mostly been attributed to a corruption crackdown spearheaded by Chinese President Xi Jinping, which has dented the VIP gaming market. AFP PHOTO / ANTHONY WALLACE

Day trip to Macau

A few photos from yesterday’s trip to the Macau observation tower. I was actually in town to cover the Asia Funeral Expo – more on that another time… These people were walking – and then sittingĀ – on the outer rim of the 10th highest observation tower in the world.

May Day 2015 in Hong Kong

Just a few pics from today for now. I really enjoyed using my trusty 50mm f1.2 again. The focus can be so slow, but when it snaps on, it’s my favourite lens. The last pic was 24mm at f2.8. Will put more up another time…
