About Me

I’m based in Hong Kong and am a photojournalist with Agence France-Presse (AFP).

I previously freelanced in London and cofounded SELPH, a community camera workshop program for patients at London’s Maudsley Hospital in 2010.

I have a MA in Documentary Photography and Photojournalism for which I studied at University of the Arts, London College of Communication (LCC).

  1. Dear Mr. Wallace,

I heard that you worked for Monocle magazine as a photographer.
I have always admired the photo style of Monocle magazine, it is warm, harmonious and appealing.
I am wondering how did Monocle magazine achieve such consistent effect over all photos ?
    By filters? Or Photoshop editing?

    Thank you.
    kind regards

    • Hi Martin, apologies for my slow reply. I did used to do some shoots for Monocle during my London days. There was hardly any retouch needed as they often chose great locations because of their design value. So it was really about positioning the camera well for a good clean frame and exposure. Hope that helps. Many thanks for getting in touch. Best wishes, Anthony
